Chhattigarh Housing Board (CGHB) was established in the year 2004 by the state government. This was introduced with an aim to provide affordable housing to the various sections of people. Formed under the Chhattisgarh Housing Board Act, 1972, the Chhattisgarh Housing Board was started as an autonomous body.
This CGHB has implemented many housing schemes in Chhattisgarh and also launched various specialised housing schemes for different income groups. The prime motive was to give every individual of the state an ability to avail housing facilities at affordable prices.

CGHB Housing Schemes For EWS And LIG Buyers
All the CGHB housing schemes caters the need for everyone of owning a home and its main target is on the people from the economically weaker sections (EWS) and lower-income group (LIG).

This housing board has built almost 1, 02,113 houses since CGHS was incepted and 85% of these houses have been built for people belonging to the EWS and the LIG categories.
Various Yojnas like Vihar Yojna, the Atal Awas Yojna and the Deendayal Awas Yojna comes under the specialised housing schemes that were specially meant for these sections of people.

CGHB Housing Scheme 2021
Atal Vihar Yojana
This yojana will construct one lakh houses in the state of Chhattisgarh and under this scheme, houses of different models are built for different income groups at an affordable price.
So, the people who are interested in investing in housing projects of the CGHB can apply for a unit under the Rs 1,845-crore Atal Vihar Yojana.
It will let the Chhattisgarh Housing Board to sell 183 units, meant for the EWS (under the name Kusum) and the LIG (under the name Palash) categories. All the units are located at Kotapal, Bijapur.

Unit price
The area over which the flats spread is between 484 and 1,032 Sq.ft, these homes for sale will come in the unit price range of Rs 6.95 lakhs to Rs 15.75 lakhs.
For the registration the charges are different for candidates from EWS Group who just needs to pay Rs. 25,000 and the applicants from the LIG category have to pay Rs 50,000 as the registration fee. And, the rest of the amount for the flat has to be paid in six instalments.
