The state government has incorporated the Rajiv Gandhi Housing Corporation Limited that helps in providing pucca houses to socially and economically backward people. Thus, under this Basava Vasati Yojana the eligible applicants are liable to get 85% of the raw material for home construction from the state government. It is one of the profitable and affordable schemes as Basava Vasati Yojana is being implemented in the state.

The people of the state who are below the poverty line or belong to the backward communities are the beneficiaries of this scheme. 

Only the permanent residents of the state can apply for the scheme and migrants are not allowed to apply under this housing scheme. 

In simple words the beneficiaries for the Basava Vasati Yojana scheme are:People below the poverty line, who cannot afford their own housing.Schedule Classes (SCs) and Schedule Tribes (STs).The Other Backwards Classes or OBCs are eligible as beneficiaries.

What Is The Eligibility Criteria For Basava Vasati Yojana?

The state of Karnataka has certain eligibility criteria for this scheme and only the eligible people can take the advantage. 

1. The applicants who want to apply under the scheme:
2. Applicant should be permanent residents of Karnataka.
3. Household income should not exceed Rs 32,000 per annum.
4. There should be no pucca house anywhere in the state or country under the name of the applicant.
5. Lastly, they should have a land or kutcha house where construction could easily take place.

Steps To Apply For Basava Vasati Yojana 

The applicants can easily apply online for the housing scheme by following the simple steps.  

Step 1: Firstly, visit the official portal Ashraya for Karnataka’s Rajiv Gandhi Housing Corporation Limited.

Step 2: Then, click on the Registration link on the home page.

Step 3: Now, the applicant will be required to enter all the required details, personal information such as name of the applicant, date of birth, father’s name, contact details, gender, income details, mandal, district and village name, address of the applicant and Aadhaar card number.

Step 4: Then, upload the requisite documents.

Step 5: After that, the beneficiary list is finalised by the gram panchayat authority and will be available online for viewing.

Step 6: The eligible beneficiaries will get selected on the ground level by the Block Development Officer through a lottery system.

Step 7: Once it will be identified, then the BDO visits the beneficiary’s correspondence address and submit the name in Form-17 which is later forwarded to the executive officer. 

After the beneficiary list is finalised, the list is made available in the local block development office.

The Process To Check Beneficiary Status Of Basava Vasati Yojana

The following simple steps to check the beneficiary status of Basava Vasati Yojana are:

Firstly, visit the RGRHCL portal and select ‘Beneficiary Information’ from the top menu.

After that you will be redirected to a new page where you can select the district and enter the acknowledgement number, to check the status.

Once it is done, Basava Vasati Yojana application status will be visible right on the screen and you will be able to track your status in the beneficiary list.

How To Check Name Correction Report?

Visit the RGRHCL portal and based on the area you belong to either urban or rural – click on ‘Name Correction Report’.

Further, choose the respective district, city/taluka. The list will be displayed on the screen and you can check the status directly.

Check The Grant Release Information

Step 1: Visit the official RGRHCL portal. 

Step 2: After that, look for ‘Subsidy Fund Release’ details, based on the urban or rural area you belong to. 

Step 3: Then, you need to select the year and week, along with the reference number.

Step 4: Click ‘Submit’ and the details will be visible on the screen. 

How To Check Aadhaar Linking Status?

Aadhaar linking is very important for all beneficiaries with their profiles, to get timely subsidy in their bank accounts. 

And to check the Aadhaar linking status for Basava Vasati Yojana, the applicants need to visit the UIDAI Bank Mapping portal and fill in the necessary details.
